Supernatural 7x17 Producer’s Preview
“You got a point,” Priestly said with a laugh looking around the empty shop, tarps still over the surfaces from the recent paint job. Grinning at the four of them, he waved Luke over to the service counter, gesturing for him to sit on one of the stools as he jumped up onto the counter, rolling his lip ring with his tongue in thought, “Nothing around here’s done conventionally,” he explained, smirking a little, “We’re a democracy here, so bringing someone new in is pretty much a group exercise. We’re just gonna throw questions at you-“
“-Some possibly invasive and uncomfortable,” Tish commented from where she had seated herself in Piper’s lap on the plush couch pushed against the mural wall. Jen sat next to them, feet in the redheads lap as they watched the two men. Priestly nodded his agreement.
“Pretty much,” This was it. His first hiring as boss. He prided himself on being a good judge of character and so far Luke had done nothing to set up red flags to him, “So! Here we go; Elvis: Dead or alive?” He asked with a grin, earning groans from the girls.
He made a face at the possibility of uncomfortable questions, but a small smile formed on his lips as he looked over at Priestly. Listening closely, he tilted his head at the question about Elvis. He had heard about this before, apparently Priestly believed him to be alive. Humming he thought on it, before answering quickly, “alive.” He needed the humans approval, and if saying something untrue would gain some acceptance, he would do it. Though he believed Elvis was currently in heaven, he would not say that not wishing to raise the others ire.
Though from what he had seen and heard, Priestly was not one to anger easily. A small smile played on his lips, hoping that it was the right answer and waiting for the other questions to come. If he could play them off believably, then he might gain some form of acceptance within this little circle. Maybe he could learn a thing or two about humans and…Father forbid, learn to like them.
Or like these ones at least. They seemed kind enough, Priestly especially as he had offered the archangel the position. Though none of them knew ‘Luke’ was in fact Lucifer the Morning Star.
